I LOVE local artist Julie McAllister’s beautiful hyper-realistic cakes…they are seriously breathtaking, which explains why she earned a coveted spot on Netflix’s “Is It Cake?”! You can learn some tricks from the expert herself at the Loutrel, since she’s teaching a class! From 2-4pm, you can learn her techniques for how to create chocolate oyster shells. Wine and light bites will be provided by the Loutrel, and tickets are available here. Psst, those oysters and even the hot sauce pictured below are fully edible!

Holy City Brewing recently released a new saison, the Hot Fuzz, with peaches, habaneros and jalapenos. It’s on draft in the taproom, and sounds like it’s got a kick to it!

New openings
The Pass has been operating from a takeout window and outdoor tables since their building was hit by a Maserati back in February, but now after some lengthy rebuilding, their indoor space is back up and running! It’s looking so nice!

They’re holding a grand opening event from noon to 10pm, with Venezuelan food from La Maracucha, beers from Charles Towne Fermentory (of course!), N/A drinks, wine, and cider.
