Taco stand pop-up Blanca Estrada opens, Bar Rollins hosts Friendsgiving at Babas, plus two Thanksgiving wine tastings and a Champagne & potato chip pop-up at Estadio on Thanksgiving Eve.

Burbage’s Grocery is hosting a wine tasting featuring Thanksgiving must-haves with Advintage Distributing from 4-6pm.
Park & Grove is having a holiday market under the stars from 5:30-8:30pm tonight. There will be live music and seasonal cocktails like chai spiced apple cider and spiked hot chocolate at their outdoor bar, as well as lots of local vendors to shop!
Friday, November 22nd
Tiller Baking Co. is continuing their fresh bread Fridays every week from 6-11am. For updates on their stock and if/when they sell out, stay tuned to their Instagram stories.
Saturday, November 23rd
Bar Rollins is back! They’ll be at Babas on Meeting starting at 5pm for a Friendsgiving dinner. The menu is a la carte and no reservations are needed, first come first served!
Puerto Rican food truck Buena Compania Empanadilla is serving brunch on Saturdays at Prophet Coffee from 9:30am-1pm.
Charleston Animal Society’s annual Paws in the Park fundraiser is happening from noon to 4pm in Brittlebank Park. There will be an oyster roast, a chili cook off, plus tastings from breweries like Holy City Brewing, Palmetto Brewery, and Commonhouse Aleworks. Buy tickets here.
Sunday, November 24th
Puppy yoga is back thanks to Stretch N’ Sip Yoga! Get your asanas in, sip on bagels and cider, and snuggle some cute pups while raising money for Southern Tails for Precious Paws rescue. The yoga class will be from 10:30-11:30am at Mount Pleasant Waterfront Memorial Park, and you can find more info on how to reserve a spot below.
Fleet Landing is celebrating their twentieth anniversary with an oyster roast at Edmund’s Oast Brewing from 3-7pm. Proceeds will be donated to Charleston Waterkeeper, a wonderful organization that works to defend and restore our local waterways so that we can fish and swim without pollution.
There’s another oyster roast on the books today, too! Hobcaw Brewing is starting their roast at 1pm. Tickets are pre-order only and available here.
Monday, November 25th
Get a free coffee at The Daily between 7am and 3pm when you check in with Blackbird!
Edmund’s Oast Restaurant is throwing a special Champagne dinner with Champagnes by the glass. Book on Resy as usual.
Tuesday, November 26th
Every Tuesday in November, you can get a free coffee and breakfast sandwich at either Baguette Magic location when you check in with Blackbird.
Jessamine & Vine is doing a Thanksgiving wine tasting from 5-7pm. Check out the deets on all of the wines they’ll be pouring in their Instagram post.
The Walrus Raw Bar’s tide-to-table concept will be popping up at Tobin’s Market for Tasting Tuesday, starting at 6pm.
Wednesday, November 27th
From 3-6pm, Estadio is doing their Bar Estrella Champagne and potato chip pop-up, this time for Thanksgiving Eve.
Get a free coffee at Sightsee every Wednesday this month when you check in with Blackbird.
Get a free glass of wine from the Rhone Valley every Wednesday in November at the Tippling House when you check in with Blackbird!
Lil’ updates
Here are some dishes that caught my eye around Charleston this week:
Basic Kitchen’s roasted beet campanelle with roasted beets, whipped feta, and crispy toasted breadcrumbs.
The Tippling House’s house made cavatelli with shiro miso cream, Raven Farms mushrooms, peppers, and parmesan.
Green curry fish, available only during lunch at Xiao Bao Biscuit.
Sightsee just released cardamom lattes, perfect for the fall!
And finally, Pink Cactus has CHOCO TACOS!
New openings
Blanca Estrada opened today! Chef Michael Toscano’s Mexican pop-up (right next to his Italian restaurant, Le Farfalle) will be serving up his family recipes. I can’t wait to pop by for veggie tacos, and I heard there will also be arroz con leche on the dessert menu!
Roxa also has a holiday brick-and-mortar space for their petite desserts! Starting December 6th, they’ll be open for reservations for their special holiday tasting menu at 218 President Street. Learn more on Instagram below and book on Resy once they open!
Reservations for The Pass’ nighttime concept, The Italian Boy, just opened up on Resy last night, too.
Coming up
November 30th: Fleet Landing is donating 20% of sales today to Charleston Waterkeeper today, and will match donations made on-site, too. Reserve here.
November 30th: Sightsee is celebrating Small Business Saturday with a block party! First Name Basis will be there firing up some pizzas.
December 1st: James Beard award winner Chef Melissa M. Martin of New Orleans’ Mosquito Supper Club is guest hosting a Lowcountry lunch with Chef Mike Lata at the Ordinary to celebrate her new cookbook, “Bayou: Feasting Through the Seasons of a Cajun Life.” Tickets are available on Resy from 11:30am-1:30pm, and include a copy of the book!
December 4th: Slow Food Charleston is hosting a wine tasting at the Charleston Library Society with folks like Bethany Heinze from Vern’s, Bree Stock from Limited Addition Wine, and Fred Merwarth and Oskar Bynke from Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard in the Finger Lakes. Buy tickets here.
December 6th: Today is the last day to bring donations to Edmund’s Oast Restaurant for the BE Impactful Foundation. They’re seeking toy and food donations for families in North Charleston, as part of the Foundation’s third annual “Be Impactful” Holiday Community festival. You can bring toys and games (for ages 3-17) and dinner box foods (cornbread, stuffing, canned cranberry sauce and canned vegetables) to Edmund’s Oast Restaurant.
