Lil’ updates
Holiday beverages drop this Saturday at Clerks! They’ll have drinks like candy cane matchas, cookie dough lattes, handmade eggnog, and eggnog lattes to get you in the holiday spirit.
Through the end of the year, Spicewalla is donating 20% of all sales of their N’Asheville Hot Chicken spice to the Southern Smoke Foundation. I don’t even eat chicken, but I’m eager to use this with chickpeas, tofu, or roasted pumpkin seeds!
Gold Star Coffee just released their own coffee: their Gold Star Blend. The coffee was created in honor of USCG Senior Chief Petty Officer Terrell Horne III, and a percentage of all sales will go to organizations that support Gold Star families and the Veterans who served alongside those who have been lost. I will definitely be picking up a couple of bags next time I’m in the area.
Here are some dishes that caught my eye this week:
Cudaco’s autumn salad with greens, kabocha squash, pickled red onion, avocado, goat cheese, pumpkin seeds, and a white balsamic vinaigrette looks perfect for lunch.
It doesn’t feel like peppermint bark weather just yet here in Charleston, but Off Track is getting us in the holiday spirit early with their vegan peppermint bark ice cream that looks absolutely divine! They’re also selling individual bags of peppermint bark in their retail fridge, too.
New openings
The Graft folks are opening a pizza place? I’m interested! Graft just teased that Tutti Pizza is coming soon, and I couldn’t be more excited. Tutti will be located in the same building as Graft, and promises old school New York pizza from Anthony Guerra of Oakwood Pizza Box in Raleigh. Stay tuned for an opening date (likely February 2025 according to the Post & Courier), but in the meantime, you can give them a follow on Instagram!
Chef Anthony Marini of the Pass is creating a new nighttime tasting menu concept in that space, starting December 4th. The Italian Boy’s cuisine is described as “neighborhood rowhome inspired dining”, which will be family-style and include antipasti, crudo, pasta, and panini imbottiti (Italian “stuffed sandwiches”.) You can book on Resy starting November 20th, and follow them at @theitalianboychs on Instagram for more updates.
Sounds like we’ll learn more about Bar Rollins 2.0 very soon! And they’re cooking something up on November 23rd, too…
That’s a wrap!
