The menu includes dishes like a kanpachi crudo, bucatini alla vodka, and a dessert made with polenta-olive oil cake and wood-fired peaches (YUM!) To learn more about the menu and wine pairings, and to buy tickets, see Sorelle’s website here.

All profits will go to Jen’s cancer treatments, and they’re looking for volunteers to work their raffle, as well as donations. Cannon Distillery already donated a case of vodka for the event! To donate something for the raffle, or to volunteer, email steph@allmyexeschs.com.
This is going to be so fun: Chef Eaton Poole of Estadio will be collaborating with Chef Cagalanan from Kultura and Chef Schuttenberg from Kwei Fei and Beautiful South for a Pintxo Party! New openings
Dawn Patrol Coffee, a new coffee shop headed to James Island, had to delay their original May 24th opening date. Stay tuned to their Instagram for updates.
Lil updates
Lillian’s just announced a new community event series: Monday Market! From 4-6pm every first and third Monday of each month, head to Lillian’s to shop from different local vendors and enjoy happy hour at their downstairs coffee bar. I love this idea, especially since Lillian’s has such a cool multipurpose space. The first Monday Market will be on June 2nd, and they’re currently taking applications for vendors. If you’re interested in applying or know someone who owns a local business, find the link here.
Here are the dishes and drinks that caught my eye this week:
Coterie has partnered Conniption Gin on a special cocktail for a cause: their Caprese Martini is made with Conniption Navy Strength Gin, EVOO-washed Basil Eau de Vie from St. George Spirits, tomato-infused Dolin dry vermouth, Dolin Blanc and Yzaguirre rosé vermouth. Even better, a dollar from each Caprese Martini goes to Women in Leadership programs at the James Beard Foundation.
167 Raw’s newest crudo looks perfect for summer: their hiramasa crudo is served in a sauce made with Thai bird’s eye chili, sorghum, fish sauce, and lime and plated with radish, cilantro, carrots, cashews, and sliced pickled peaches.
Coming up
Saturday, May 31st
Celebrate rosé season! Josh Walker of Wine & Company and (who has an awesome wine-focused Substack and teaches wine classes that I highly recommend!) are duking it OUT with a rosé showdown! From 3-6pm at Wine & Company, they’ll each be pouring three of their favorite rosés in a tasting format, along with special rosé inspired snacks curated by Walker and O’Kelley available for purchase (while supplies last). To make the event a real showdown, attendees will be given scorecards to choose their faves. May the best rosé win!
Odd Duck Market is turning two and celebrating with a birthday party in their courtyard from 4-7pm. JM Bros Provisions will be there cooking up pizza and other Italian snacks. Most importantly, a portion of sales from the party will be donated to Nikki Duncan, who used to manage Mellow Mushroom in West Ashley. After moving from Charleston to Asheville, NC, both of her sons were diagnosed with Li‑Fraumeni Syndrome, an inherited cancer‑predisposition disorder. Heartbreakingly, last month, Nikki and her husband lost their son James to cancer, and Nikki is currently fighting three different cancers and undergoing chemotherapy. You can donate to the GoFundMe for their family directly here: https://gofund.me/eda59ad8. If you’re not in a position to be able to donate right now, you can share the GoFundMe link or the post from Odd Duck below.
That’s a wrap!
Thx per usual 😍❤️🙌
