Looking for last-minute plans tonight?
Tinto Cafe and Provisions on John Street is transforming into a cevicheria tonight from 5-7pm, in collaboration with CHS Ceviche. Tickets get you three CHS Ceviche dishes with wine pairings from Tinto, and you can get those tix here.
Monarch Wine Merchants are hosting Jeffrey Alpert of French-wine-only import company Jeffrey Alpert Selections from 5-7pm to pour some - you guessed it - French wines! Pop in, it’s free and no RSVP is required.
The Charleston AAPI Collective is coming together tonight for a panel discussion hosted by artist Anna Chen about diversity, community, and Asian identity. It’ll be at the Porter Room at Holy City Brewing from 5:30-7pm, and there will be snacks from Sarah’s Dumps and King BBQ from 5:30-6pm, plus drinks from Holy City Brewing will be available for purchase. Reserve your spot here.
Stop by Park & Grove from 5:30-8:30pm for their first Park & Groove market of the season, with live music by Grace Miller Moody, cocktail specials, and local vendors.
Friday, May 2nd
Treat yourself, it’s Friday! JM Bros Provisions is cooking up brekkie bagel sandwiches at Jadoon’s Market this morning from 8-11am.
Bring Harken’s new cookbook (or buy it there) as your entry to their cookbook launch party tonight. They’ll be serving items from the book (YUM) plus happy hour beer and wine specials from 5-8pm. Your ticket to entry is the book!
Saturday, May 3rd
YAY! HBD to Bangin’ Vegan Eats and Lil Sprout Vegan Desserts 🎂 Head over to Prophet Coffee from 9am-1pm to celebrate with them.
Costa’s hosting a cocktail class called ‘Shaken & Stirred: A Cocktail Experience’. Starting at noon, you can learn to craft two signature cocktails Costa-style, plus there will be light bites and a full lunch. No cocktail-making experience is necessary, and you can book on Resy.
Sunday, May 4th

JM Bros Provisions is back at Jadoon’s Market for breakfast this morning from 8-11am.
Celadon Home and the Navy Yard are throwing a Boulevard Bazaar from 10am-2pm, with local artisans and vendors, music, and most importantly: food! Seol Ah’s will be there with their Korean corn dogs, Tamales by Guadalupe will be serving up Oaxacan food, plus Abuelitas and RiverDogs Food Truck. Traveling Toms Coffee Truck and Urban Alchemy will be there with java (I’m interested in Urban Alchemy’s canned nitro cold brew!) and Niños Creamery and King of Pops will have frozen treats.
Head to Edmund’s Oast Brewing for a shrimp boil from noon-5pm today, co-hosted by the folks from Fleet Landing. Get tickets on Eventbrite.
How fun is this? Slow Food Charleston and Amor Healing Kitchen are coming together for a taco and tortilla class, during which you can learn how to make corn and flour tortillas from scratch and cook gorgeous plant-based tacos! I couldn’t love this more. Monday, May 5th
Santi’s on Meeting is having a Cinco de Mayo block party with live music, drink specials, and a buffet from 3-10pm.
Bowens Island Restaurant is throwing a Cinco de Mayo celebration with smoked fish collars (served with tortillas or fries) by Chef Graham Calabria from 6-9pm.
Wednesday, May 7th
Cane Pazzo, Chef Mark Daniel Bolchoz Jr.’s soon-to-be-opening Italian spot in Hanahan, is popping up at the Tippling House from 5-9pm.
It doesn’t look like there are details available just yet, but this sounds so fun: King BBQ is hosting a movie night as part of the Charleston AAPI Collective’s celebration of AAPI Heritage Month! Stay tuned to their Instagram for updates, and check out all of the other events the Charleston AAPI Collective is planning throughout the month below. Thursday, May 8th
Bar Estrella is back home at Estadio tonight with their usual: fancy imported potato chips and bottles of bubbly! Stop by from 5-8pm.
From 6-8pm, Wine & Company is hosting Sonoma, CA winemakers Moret Brealynn Chavez and Adam Lee, who will be pouring up some of their faves. Even better, 100% of flight sales go to Charleston Animal Society, an organization that works tirelessly to help animals! I love it. No RSVP required, just stop by.
This event is sold out now, but sharing because it sounds so cool, and maybe they’ll do it again! Don Luchi Prosecco and Middleton Made Knives are co-hosting SUSHEE: a Gullah Geechee x Japanese Culinary Experience at the Navy Yard from 6-9pm. There will be sushi with traditional Japanese techniques and Gullah Geechee-inspired ingredients by Saqui Sushi, and you can learn more about the whole night on Eventbrite.

Lil updates
Roseline just launched a happy hour! From 4-5:30pm Tuesdays through Thursdays, you can enjoy $8 house wines, $6 draft beers, and $8 glasses of bubbly.
I can’t wait to try this: Three Girls on Spring, our amazing local plant-based delicatessen, is launching their bang bang grilled cheese sandwich today. It’s made with whipped plant-based ricotta, house-made chili garlic crunch, medjool dates, and a “secret sauce”. Check out a peek below, and stop by soon to try it!
Mother’s Day specials
Edmund’s Oast will have an all-you-can-eat Mother’s Day feast from 11am-8pm.
Sorelle’s Mother’s Day brunch on the 11th will feature a prix-fixe menu with dishes like lobster omelets, fresh-baked pastries, and a special dessert called Mom’s Rose.
Treat Mom to a free mimosa on Bay Street Biergarten’s tab! They’re giving free mimosas for moms on the 11th, and will have crafts and live music, too.
From 11am-2pm, on Mother’s Day, Little Palm is hosting Harvest Moon Home for a pop-up, with special guests, adoptable pups from local rescue Dusty Tails! Book a reservation on their site here.
Some local bakeries are doing special Mother’s Day pre-orders, too!
