New openings
Pink Bellies’ Phở King pop-up announced back in February is finally open! It launched yesterday, and they’re taking bookings for the next few weeks on Resy. The concept is that Chef Thai Phi of Pink Bellies is bringing his family recipes “directly from Saigon to Charleston, SC using local Lowcountry ingredients”. Follow @phokingchs on Instagram for more updates and check out more menu deets in their post below.
A new ramen spot just had their soft opening in Park Circle yesterday. Katsubo Chicken & Ramen has a veggie miso ramen that I’d love to try. LMK if you’ve been, and what you thought!
A new bakery is about to open! Grit Bakery opens tomorrow 4/25 at the corner of Meeting and Huger Streets. Find more info on their hours below and show them some love on opening day!
Coming late this summer, a new restaurant and event space called Frank & Jack’s will be opening in Mount Pleasant. It’ll have indoor and outdoor dining, plus a walk-up bar and standalone ice cream shack. The menu will be led by local hospitality company High Tide Provisions’ Culinary Partner, Chef Jonathan Rohland. Check out a rendering below and find more updates on Instagram at @frankandjackschs.
That’s a wrap!
